The best eco-tourism destination of Rajasthan is Udaipur – Bhatnagar
Udaipur. Retired Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Rahul Bhatnagar has said that Rajasthan tops the country in terms of tourism, in the same way Eco-Turism is the best destination due to its forests, wildlife and birds. There is a lot of potential to work in this direction here. Bhatnagar was addressing the launch and inauguration ceremony of the logo of the organization called 'Green People Society', formed by retired forest department officials and other environmental lovers for the environment and related creative activities in the division at the Information Center here on Friday. On this occasion, he said that 'Green People Society' has been formed in the Society Act for environmental protection activities in the division, which will work with the Forest Department and other institutions.
Retired Dean Dr. Sharad Srivastava He said that there is a strong need for environmental protection and promotion activities in Udaipur division and it is believed that this society will fulfill it with full passion. At the ceremony, guests started the organization through the release of the logo of the society. The logo has been created by renowned painter Rupesh Bhavsar of Dungarpur. This logo resonates with the Peepal tree, the life-giving bird Swarnapeelak, the connection of the common man in the form of leaves and the protection of water conservation with the roots of the tree and the defense itself. On this occasion, retired Assistant Forest Conservator and Environmentalist Dr. Satish Sharma, retired Deputy Conservator of Forests Pratapsingh Chundawat and Sohail Compel, Deputy Public Relations Dr. Kamlesh Sharma, Ornithian Pradeep Joshi and Vinay Dave, Assistant Accountant Dinkar Khamesra, Divisional In-Charge of WWF Arun Soni, A large number of environmental enthusiasts were present along with IT expert Sunil Vyas, Sanskar Sharma.
Palash Festival will begin activities:
Society President Rahul Bhatnagar informed that the committee will soon start its activities as the first 'Palash Festival' organized in Udaipur division level. Exhibitions, competitions, symposia and eco trail will be organized under the festival.
Ten members have committee:
This committee constituted under the chairmanship of retired Chief Conservator of Forests Rahul Bhatnagar, retired IAS Vikram Singh Chauhan and Dr. Sharad Srivastava. Vice President and Dr. Satish Sharma as Secretary and retired DFO VS Rana as Joint Secretary, Mrs. Sugandha Jalan as Treasurer and Sohail M Bur, Pratap Chundawat, Pradeep Sukhwal and Arun Soni has been appointed member. The committee will soon make members from other districts of the division as well and will spread its activities.
