Taking a major decision in view of the deadly Corona virus, the Ministry of Railways has announced a complete cancellation of passenger rail services across the country by 31 March. According to the railway, the operation of all long distance express and intercity trains will be closed till 12 noon on 31 March. Railway (Railway) said, 'Kolkata (Kolkata) Metro, Konkan Railway, Suburban trains are also included in the list of canceled trains.' The highest number of infection cases have been reported from here.

The complete lockdown in Patiala will continue till March 24, while in Bathinda will continue till March 27. All establishments in Nawanshahar and Hoshiarpur districts have been closed till midnight on March 25, while in Kapurthala district, it will remain in force as a precaution from Monday. The Rajasthan government has also announced a total lockdown from Sunday to March 31.

However, during this time, medical stores along with everyday essentials like vegetable and milk shops will remain open. Apart from these, no shops will be opened. Earlier some states have lockeddown in some cities but Rajasthan became the first state to implement it in the whole state.
